I’m a pretty social person. I remember an ex saying to me that I relied too much on others and needed to learn to take peace in being solitary.
Probably why he’s an ex 😉
I recharge in groups. I love alone time every now and then but mostly prefer company, it’s how I roll 👌
As you’ve heard me talk about on here, I have a kick ass group of friends in Christchurch. Leaving those ladies was hard work..
But it appears, that every other awesome women in NZ actually lives in Feilding so problem solved! 😉
Actually though, I can’t believe what an amazing comminity of woman I have stepped into. A mix of teachers, a scientist, a lighting designer for theatre (!!!) and more. They are all mothers, they are community minded, cloth nappying, Playcentre attending, chicken owning, wine drinking feminists. They are strong and kind and generous and hilarious and have welcomed myself, my husband and my children into their homes.
And they have great kids. Like GREAT kids. I am thrilled to bits that my children get to have friends like these.
We are so lucky.
Because I need the village. It anchors me. It helps me be a better mother, wife and friend when I have such fabulous minds to bounce thoughts, feelings and ideas off.
So girls, thank you. Thank you thank you thank you ❤
The strength and power of female friendships is a wonderful thing. Who run the world? Girls! 😉😙
Until next time
Ta ra for now
